SAIRPi Project

What you need to know about the SAIRPi Project

The SAIRPi Project exists to investigate, support, and promote, Linux and Artificial Intelligence on edge computers. Primarily using Hailo AI processors and accelerators on Slackware Linux operating systems, on ARM-based Raspberry Pi single-board computers. We are a community-driven group of Linux users, software developers, and hardware engineers, focused on sharing knowledge and experience within the Linux community.

The SAIRPi Project was created on 18 March 2026.

This project is not without some knowledge and experience which can be drawn from pervious work. Before the SAIRPi Project there was the SARPi Project, which began in October 2012 with almost a year of waiting and preparation beforehand.

The SAIRPi Project is in no way affiliated with Slackware Linux, Inc., or Hailo Technologies Ltd., or The Linux Foundation, or Raspberry Pi Ltd., or any of their respective members, trustees, partners, or associates.
