SAIRPi Project - Slackware AI on Raspberry Pi
Welcome to the SAIRPi Project
SAIRPi is a Linux community-driven initiative by individuals that focuses on building, testing, and developing software to run real-time AI inferences on Raspberry Pi computers, running Slackware Linux operating systems, using Hailo AI Accelerator hardware. To find out more about who we are and what we do, see the page.
The SAIRPi Project operates on a totally independent basis, for no personal gain or reward, and are not officially endorsed by, or affiliated with, Slackware Linux, Raspberry Pi Ltd., or Hailo Technologies.

SAIRPi Project Muse Views ...
On this website you'll frequently encounter the "spmuse". This is a prominent dialog box with the SAIRPi Project logo in the top left corner. The purpose is to add comments, or highlight important notes, or elements that are informative, and separated so that it stands out. Think of it as a whispering guide. Sometimes "spmuse" content is no more than a casual parenthesis, while at other times it's absolutely essential and/or important. So keep an eye out for it and always read what the "spmuse" contains.
This is an example of the "spmuse" dialog box.
"spmuse" is pronounced "smooz" or "smewz". The "p" is silent. 😲
Thanks for reading this!
The SAIRPi Terminal
On this website you will see the following terminal box. This terminal box is designed to emulate a terminal screen on the website and displays commands and their output, scripting language code, and other plain text that can be copied and pasted easily. The terminal below is just an example, and we injected some Slackware 13.37 nostalgia into it, as well as some state-of-the-art Hailo-10H AI Accelerator references. Don't worry about the flickers on the terminal screen, that's the "Hollywood Effect" or (more accurately) caused by failing capacitors in the PSU (power supply unit) in a real world scenario.
The terminal box idea was inspired by, and fashioned after, the TeleVideo 910 terminal of the early 1980s era. 💻 🤓

Steampunk themed Slackware Linux wallpaper: a masterful and richly detailed tribute to Slackware, featuring Tux, accoutred in befitting apparel, flanked by an intricate network of phosphor bronze pipes, pressure gauges, glowing vacuum tubes, and copper gears, set against a metallic honeycomb backdrop with a radiant (unseen) energy source in the background. The desktop design is anchored by a weathered metal plate at the bottom inscribed with the mantra, "Stability by design. Reliability that endures."
